Teacher Clever Portal Access for Permanent-Subs

Permanent subs, paras, and other non-admin staff who are frequently filling into classrooms may be granted a Clever role called: School Tech Lead (STL).
This role allows (among other things) the user to access the Clever Portal as another user (i.e. impersonating another user to see what they see). Clicking on any link or app in Clever Portal while impersonating another user will access that app/link as the impersonated user, allowing the STL to fully act as the teacher for that classroom.
If you have been told that you have the role assigned, the instructions below will show you how to Access Portal as User.
IMPORTANT!
- Only use this privilege to access necessary apps or links for that classroom/teacher.
- Never make changes to a profile, app, or curriculum while impersonating a user.
- AlwaysEND PORTAL SESSION when finished.

How to use the "Access Portal as user" feature for a teacher
Directions
- Log in to your Clever Dashboard
- Search for the impacted teacher in the Search bar
- Select Access Portal as user in the top right-hand corner from the Teacher Tools
- A box will pop up asking for details on your session. Please enter the details and check the box agreeing that you will not alter their Portal or share sensitive student or teacher information.
- Select Begin Portal session. You will be authenticated into the teacher’s portal to troubleshoot accordingly!
- When done troubleshooting, select End Portal session to securely return to your Clever account.
